In an externally driven multilevel quantum system observation that the NEXT jump has not yet happened affects its future development. In previous work [Phys. Rev. Those calculations were carried out when the driven oscillations or Rabi flopping between the ground state and a strongly fluorescing state were fast compared to its lifetime. We explore a new approach to search for a low-mass $Z^{\prime}$ particle through $J/ψ$ decays by identifying its existence through parity-violating phenomena in the isospin-violating final states of $Λ\overlineΣ^{0}$ and the corresponding charge conjugated states of $\overlineΛΣ^{0}$. Our investigation centers on a generation-independent and leptophobic $Z^{\prime}$ with its mass below 10 GeV. Given the present experimental conditions at the Beijing Spectrometer III~(BESIII) and the anticipated opportunities at the Super Tau Charm Factory~(STCF), we conduct Monte-Carlo simulations to predict p

The absence of supersymmetry or other new physics at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has lead many to question naturalness arguments. With Bayesian statistics, we argue that natural models are most probable and that naturalness is not merely an aesthetic principle. We calculate a probabilistic measure of naturalness, the Bayesian evidence, for the Standard Model (SM) with and without quadratic divergences, confirming that the SM with quadratic divergences is improbable. We calculate the Bayesian evidence for the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (CMSSM) with naturalness priors

Large language models are increasingly used as behavioral simulators, but it remains unclear when their outputs reflect human-like cognitive mechanisms rather than prompt-sensitive surface patterns. We study this question through the realization effect, a well-characterized finding in behavioral economics in which risk-taking differs systematically after paper versus realized gains and losses. We evaluate LLM behavior at three levels: prompt-only behavioral sensitivity, linear readout of internal representations, and causal control via activation steering. Prompt-only results show systematic c

While distributed tracing and chaos engineering are becoming standard for microservices, resilience models remain largely manual and bespoke. We revisit a trace-discovered connectivity model that derives a service dependency graph from traces and uses Monte Carlo simulation to estimate endpoint availability under fail-stop service failures. Compared to earlier work, we (i) derive the graph directly from raw OpenTelemetry traces, (ii) attach endpoint-specific success predicates, and (iii) add a simple asynchronous semantics that treats Kafka edges as non-blocking for immediate HTTP success. Decoherence in superconducting qubits arises from both multilevel dynamics and structured environmental noise, yet perturbative models cannot capture all resulting signatures. Here, EmuPlat couples instruction-set-architecture-level waveform generation to the hierarchical equations of motion HEOM under $1/f$ non-Markovian pure dephasing. In the resulting non-perturbative regime -- where filter-function predictions become quantitatively uninformative -- CPMG scaling of a three-level superconducting transmon yields one calibration result, two physical findings, and one structural null. We study the effect of gravitational focusing of the earth on dark matter. We find that the effect can produce a detectable diurnal modulation in the dark matter signal for part of the parameter space which for high dark matter masses is larger than the diurnal modulation induced by the fluctuations in the flux of dark matter particles due to the rotation of the earth around its own axis. The two sources of diurnal modulation have different phases and can be distinguished from each other. We demonstrate that the diurnal modulation can potentially check the self-consistency of experiments that

Pair production of Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is known to be important for the determination of Higgs boson self-coupling and the probe of new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM), especially the existence of new fundamental scalar boson. In this paper we study in detail the Higgs pair production at the LHC in a well-motivated model, the Gauged Two Higgs Doublet Model (G2HDM) in which the two Higgs doublets are properly embedded into a gauged $SU(2)_H$ and a dark matter candidate emerges naturally due to the gauge symmetry. JEPA-family world models use a static predictor whose weights do not adapt when test-time dynamics diverge from training. We compare two mechanisms for incorporating accumulated experience into a JEPA predictor under distribution shift: operand-side injection, where a compressed experience representation is added as a residual to the predictor's hidden state (EI-JEPA), and operator-side modulation, where the same representation generates low-rank weight deltas via LoRA applied to the predictor's weights (EPM-JEPA). Quantum pre- and post-selection (PPS) paradoxes occur when counterfactual inferences are made about different measurements that might have been performed, between two measurements that are actually performed. The 3 box paradox is the paradigm example of such a paradox, where a ball is placed in one of three boxes and it is inferred that it would have been found, with certainty, both in box 1 and in box 2 had either box been opened on their own. Precisely what is at stake in PPS paradoxes has been unclear, and classical models have been suggested which are supposed to mimic the essential featur

This paper examines the possibility of floating or non-decaying orbits for extreme mass ratio binary black holes. In the adiabatic approximation, valid in the extreme mass ratio case, if the orbital flux lost due to gravitational radiation reaction is compensated for by the orbital flux gained from the spins of the black holes via superradiant scattering (or, equivalently, tidal acceleration) the orbital decay would be stalled, causing the binary to "float". We show that this flux balance is not, in practice, possible for extreme mass ratio binary black holes with circular equatorial orbits; f

Working with the real-singlet-extended Standard Model, we utilize recent lattice simulations to confirm the existence of first-order phase transitions across the free parameter space. We take into account a generic form of a Dirac fermionic dark matter (DM), which communicates with the Standard Model quarks via a scalar mediator, in a model-independent way. Four special interaction scenarios are investigated, where one is parity conserving and the other three are parity violating. Three of them result in the $v$ suppressed DM-nucleon cross sections, where $v \sim 10^{-3} c$ is the velocity of the DM in the laboratory frame. We constrain the masses of the dark matter and mediator as well as the couplings from the thermal relic abundance, and the recent results of the XENON10

An extended test body moving in a curved spacetime does not typically follow a geodesic, because of forces that arise from couplings between its multipole moments and the ambient curvature. An illustration of this fact was provided by Wisdom, who showed that the motion of a quasi-rigid body undergoing cyclic changes of shape in a curved spacetime deviates, in general, from a geodesic. Wisdom's analysis, however, was recently challenged on the grounds that the body's motion should be described by the Mathisson-Papapetrou-Dixon equations, and that these predict geodesic motion for the kind of bo

Analytical expressions illustrating the explicit role of the R-parity violating parameters are given following perturbative diagonalization of mass-squared matrices for the scalars. Dominant contributions come from the combinations $B_i λ^{\prime}_{ij1}$ for which we obtain robust bounds. It turns out that neutron and deuteron EDMs receiv

In recent years, continual learning, a prediction setting in which the problem environment may evolve over time, has become an increasingly popular research field due to the framework's gearing towards complex, non-stationary objectives. Learning such objectives requires plasticity, or the ability of a neural network to adapt its predictions to a different task. Recent findings indicate that plasticity loss on new tasks is highly related to loss landscape sharpness in non-stationary RL frameworks. We explore the usage of sharpness regularization techniques, which seek out smooth minima and hav

In these models, the first KK mode of $B$ boson is a viable dark matter candidate by virtue of KK-parity. We demonstrate that the KK dark matter annihilation cross section can be enhanced, compared wit
