Abstract
Oxidative stress is involved in the pathophysiology of many chronic diseases, including heart failure. Oxidative stress is an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the antioxidant defense. The overproduction of ROS can lead to cellular damage and eventually cellular death.
