Influence of Mango Cultivars on the Population Density of the White Mango Scale Insect, Aulacaspis tubercularis (Homoptera: Diaspididae) in Damietta Governorate

T. Ata, S. Awadalla, M. Bayoumy et al. · 2025 · Journal of Plant Protection and Pathology

The white mango scale insect, Aulacaspis tubercularis (Diaspididae: Homoptera), is one of the most destructive pests affecting mango trees in Egypt. This study investigates the impact of different mango cultivars on the population dynamics of this insect in New Damietta mango orchards during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. The effects of natural enemies and weather factors, including mean temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), tree orientation, and seasonality, were analyzed. The findings revealed three annual population peaks of A. tubercularis, occurring in February, May, and August across diff

EFFECT OF DELTAMETHRIN ON DRUG METABOLIZING ENZYMES IN MALE MICE LIVER

Sabah El-Banna. · 2006 · Journal of Plant Protection and Pathology

The present study was undertaken to investigate the effects of a single (24 h) and repeated (7 days) doses of deltamethrin (10 rngikg body weight daily) on hepatic drug metabolizing enzymes. The hepatic content of microsomal protein, cytochrome P450 and b5. activities of NADPH cytochrome C reductase, amidopyrine N—demethylase. aniline-4shydroxylase. glutathion S-transeferase and the level of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TEARS) were determined. The obtained results indicated that a single dose of deltamethrin had no significant effect on hepatic microsomal proteins, cytochrome b5, am
